On November 7-8, 2019, in accordance with the initiative of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), a two-day training and practical course for employees of the banking and financial sector of Uzbekistan was organized within the framework of the educational program for continuous training of specialists from financial institutions and banks of Uzbekistan on Certified Documentary Credit Specialist.
At the training course, the attention of participants was focused on current trends in trade finance, as well as the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP 600) – a set of rules developed by the world practice of settlements in the form of a documentary letter of credit, as well as “Incoterms – 2010”, which, in accordance with the international process of trade operations, will soon be revised and amended. It should be noted that Incoterms in new edition will be adopted in 2020.
In general, such training workshops contribute to broadening the horizons of bank employees and reinforce their skills through practical work on documentary operations.
Following the training program, appropriate certificates were handed to the employees of Sanoat Qurilish Bank (Uzbekistan Industrial and Construction Bank).
